I wasn't one of those kids who drew pictures all day, and for most of my adult life art-making was the mysterious province of others. Then something happened. I had a stroke, a big one. Luckily, I recovered and suddenly found myself seeing the world through a new set of eyes. I felt more deeply connected to my visual surroundings, and in ways that seemed meaningful. That’s when I knew I had to paint. Not so easy at first, it is now my way to express feelings, perceptions and longings that words cannot begin to communicate. Shown here are some of my more recent works. Perhaps in some way, they might speak to you.
